A gorgeous and seductive mix of red pinot, black raspberry, cool minerality and a touch of earth complements well the full, rich, deep, serious and intense flavors that manage to be simultaneously powerful and concentrated yet supple and delicious with near perfect balance. I really like the purity here and this is very Petits Monts in character, which is to say it resembles a mini-Richebourg. Recommended.

An expressive nose jumps from the glass to reveal spice, floral and sexy dark berry fruit aromas that are rich, full, intense and powerful. This is a big wine for a villages with good extract and ample phenolic maturity and while this isn't overly elegant, it's clearly a wine of quality, particularly for its level. Outstanding!
