A more elegant and higher-toned nose of red pinot fruit with the same violet/floral notes leads to delicious, round and sophisticated flavors that possess good depth and density on the very fresh and detailed finish. This is frankly more like a classic Blagny though I was assured that no mistake was made. Allen Meadows - Burghound
This is quite ripe yet the red and dark berry fruit aromas are airy and pure with an abundant earthiness present on the rich, serious and rather brooding middle weight flavors supported by excellent dry extract and ripe structural elements on the solidly long finish. Very good quality here for a villages level wine. Allen Meadows - Burghound
Deep ruby. The nose is exceptionally ripe and it characterizes the rich, supple and forward flavors that are much more refined and I like the mouth feel as there are refined tannins and plenty of the classic minerality on the persistent finish. Outstanding! Allen Meadows - Burghound
Light ruby. In a continuing theme, this too is very fresh and very red pinot in character on the lacy and airy nose that introduces round, easy and refined flavors underpinned by lightly structured tannins and a dusty finish that is utterly delicious. This is not a classic Santenots as there isn't the muscle present but it's a wine of pleasure. Allen Meadows - Burghound
Interestingly, this is more elegant. there is also a bit more ripeness here and the nose evidences both red and blue pinot fruit aromas that complement well the rich, full and sweet flavors that offer good volume and while the structure is also supple, there is more of it. The depth that I usually find with this wine finally arrives on the finish and this is lovely if a bit more forward than is typical. Sweet Spot Outstanding! Allen Meadows - Burghound
