Rosés

Rosés are all the rage, and with good reason. No other single wine is more refreshing and, at the same time, goes so well with the broad range of summertime foods. Picnics, elegant parties and just plain everyday foods simply prepared are just better with cool Rosés.

Out of all the Rosés we bring in each year, Prieure St. Hippolyte is always our favorite, and the 2007 edition is no exception. A blend of Syrah and Grenache, this Rose exhibits a beautiful color. On the nose, an aromatic bouquet of wild, red strawberries and currants followed by seashell minerality and sea breeze salinity. The fresh fruit dances on the palate and is in wonderful step with this Rosé’s acidity.

Best served slightly chilled (i.e., half an hour in the refrigerator will do), which allows the components to come together.

In a word, delicious!
