Size750MLVintage2015SKU10868Rich and juicy and bursting with ripe summer fruit flavors and great concentration and depth.
Size750MLVintage2014SKU16755This is a wine that displays more of the spicy, racy and mineral aspects of syrah with a strong savory component and less of that jammy fruit. There is a freshness on the palate that carries through the finish.
Size750MLVintage2013SKU9341Syrah from Morrocco? Yeah, and it's good too! Made by in a decidedly New World Style from syrah grown in black soil. Deep, rich and delicious. Perfect with Lamb..
WS92Size750MLVintage2014SKU21740Shows nice tension between the ripe, dark flavors and crisp, lively structure, featuring a sleek core of plum and smoky tea flavors that carry easily into the long and deftly balanced finish. A little cellaring should soften the tannins. 92pts Wine Spectator
Size750MLVintage2011SKU21206This Syrah over-delivers with lifted, perfumed notes of plums, black raspberry and hints of flowers to go with a medium-bodied, rounded and textured feel on the palate. Perfect with grilled meats and roasts.
Size750MLVintage2013SKU22659The foundation of the Waymaker is Syrah, a varietal that demonstrates great richness and generosity from Camatta Hills. Cabernet Sauvignon comprises the majority of the balance of the blend, and lends great depth of fruit as well as lifted spice notes. Finally, a portion of Petite Sirah was blended in for its aromatics and rich, inky color.
Size750MLVintage2011SKU22573This is a rare opportunity to taste a truly mature California Syrah. Everything is in perfect harmony with fruit, tannins and acidity at perfect pitch.
Size750MLVintage2012SKU21198Offering a delicious mouthful of ripe black cherries, berries and herbs, with floral notes, a little earth and a hint of game. Pure, juicy, nicely styled and slightly wild. Delicious!
Size750MLVintage2012SKU20631Rich, dark berry fruit tinged with garrigue aromas and white pepper lead into a thick, saturated wine in the mouth. Ripe, well-coated tannins provide ample backbone for several years of age, though it will be tough to keep your hands off this beauty.
WSVinous-93Size750MLVintage2012SKU19837The 2012 Petite Sirah Lytton Estate is absolutely delicious. The addition of 10% Zinfandel has softened the typically burly Petit tannins, resulting in a wine that delivers tons of pure pleasure. Menthol, cloves and lavender wrap around a core of blue/purplish fruit in a gorgeous Petite with soft contours (for Petite) and terrific overall balance. Vinous-93
Size750MLVintage2012SKU21164There is an appealing expanse across the nose, right across it, with a jam note, a quiet persistence in its gras and tangy berries. The palate starts cautiously, then draws in and narrows down, limits itself at the end. It has frame, its sides are well established, holds black fruits and crackly tannins that lead to a pebbly end. The length is decent. A bit more to it than the 2011. The nose is more open than the palate; this is very aromatic.
Size750MLVintage2008SKU17800This show the early signs of development in its aromas and flavors. Sweet tobacco, grilled herbs, licorice add complexity to a core of dark fruit. At once powerful yet wonderfully nuanced, the 2008 Presidio impresses for its impeccable balance and crystalline, pure finish. 95pts Antonio Galloni (2008)
WA95Size750MLVintage2011SKU17520The opaque purple-colored Cornas Les Chailles offers up scents of smoked game and charcoal, a full-bodied mouthfeel, supple tannins and pedal-to-the metal richness and density. Already drinkable, it has at least 15 years of aging potential.
WA91-93+Size750MLVintage2011SKU18527The 2011 Syrah Hilltops has loads of potential with big, upfront black and blue fruits, creamy licorice, crushed flowers and solid minerality to go with beautiful purity and precision on the palate. It's seriously impressive and I love the mix of richness and purity. 91-93+ points Robert Parker (2011)
Size750MLVintage2013SKU21823The cool, foggy Hudson vineyard imparts this wine with a smoky, gamey nose layered with white and black pepper along with some floral notes, while the sunny and rocky Stagecoach vineyard lends this wine intense and concentrated fruit aromas of blackberry, boysenberry, and huckleberry pie.
Size750MLVintage2005SKU7399A gorgeous, rich, highly extracted wine with pepper and cherries as well as a background of earth and smoke. Intense and vibrant with plum, raspberry and toasty oak this is a well made wine with a revealing finish.
WA90-93+Size750MLVintage2005SKU7756The 2005 Cornas reveals fabulous aromas of acacia flowers, scorched earth, blackberries, dense cherries, and damp forest floor. Full-bodied with high tannin, but equally high extraction and richness, patience will be required for purchasers of this superb Cornas. 90-93+pts Wine Advocate (2005)
WA96Size750MLVintage2009SKU16321The 2009 Cote Rotie La Mordoree (471 cases) is potentially the finest La Mordoree made since the monumental 1991 (which is just beginning to hit full maturity at age 20). Spring flower, black olive, smoky barbecued meat, creme de cassis, graphite and black cherry characteristics are all found in this complex, aromatic effort. With an unctuous texture and a full-bodied mouthfeel, this is a gorgeous example of Cote Rotie Syrah that should drink nicely for 20-25+ years. 96pts Wine Advocate (2009)
IWC94Size750MLVintage2011SKU7547Deep, saturated purple. Explosively aromatic nose shows intense floral, blackberry, cassis and dark cherry, with a ripeness bordering on liqueur-like. Impossibly sweet and concentrated, with intense dark berry and plum flavors and an intoxicating, pungent floral quality. The fruit almost overwhelms the palate and builds impressively through the extremely long finish. A remarkable wine, with the power and balance to age for years. 94pts Stephen Tanzer (2004)
WA98+Size750MLVintage2009SKU16319Another monumental effort from Michel Chapoutier, it possesses copious notes of smoky asphalt, black truffles, pen ink, graphite and blackberry liqueur intermixed with hints of flowers and crushed rocks. Extremely full-bodied with abundant sweet tannins, amazing penetration on the palate and a long finish, this historic effort should age effortlessly for 50-100+ years. 98+pts Wine Advocate (2009)
