A selective mix for Waitrose, which has an extent of declassified Regnié cru in it. Dazzling energy, indicating crisp, succulent and splendid cherry natural product with insights of rose. Extremely charming and appealing; a great power as well.
This is declassified Beaujolias but don't let that fool you, the wine is still almost all from the cru of Morgon, with a little bit of A.O.C. Beaujolais as well. Bright, fleshy fruit and crisp acidity to balance. Serve chilled.
Size750MLVintage2014SKU16378Gamay gently pressed on its skins, gives the wine a beautiful salmon color. This is a wonderfully pure, bone-dry rose full of zesty fruit, crisp acidity and surprising complexity. We love Steve Edmund's wines!
Packaged amidst March following the vintage, the 2015 Beaujolais Villages The vines of Thulon experienced a somewhat shorter maceration than the 2014 since obviously the shading in the vat comes promptly. It has an intense bunch with kirsch, macerated red fruits and sugar coated orange peel - only extraordinary for a Beaujolais Villages.
This has aclear deep ruby red color with hints of violet, and a wonderful nose of fruits of the forest and rubbed bramble leaf. On the palate it is medium bodied, fruity and sappy, with lots of dark crunchy brambly fruit, spice, and a hint of licorice.
This full-bodied wine, dull ruby with a kirschy aroma and supple tannins, originates from an alluvial soil at the place known as "les cras" found south of the Morgon cru, at an elevation of 250 meters. It will be packaged in spring.
