91 points Wine Spectator Ripe and tangy, brimming with pear and juniper aromas and flavors that keep singing through the long, refined finish. Drink now. 1,750 cases made. -HS Wine Spectator
Each vintage of this Spanish blend seams better than the last. Rich ripe fruit on the attack with ample stucture and a well balanced finsh mel this an exceptional value.
90 points Wine Spectator "Light and tangy, on the tart side, but polished and refined, offering Asian pear, grapefruit and lime peel flavors that don't quit on the finish."
Big and juicy, with loads of ripe fruit and toasted coconut on the nose. Full-bodied and oozing with fruit and cocoa. Goes on for minutes. Wild. 92points Wine Spectator
The 2006 St.-Joseph could easily pass for a top-notch red Burgundy. Notes of forest floor as well as sweet red currants and cherries jump from the glass of this velvety-textured, astonishingly fresh and charming wine. While it flows daintily over the palate, it packs plenty of intensity and fruit. The vintage's zesty acidity has provided an endearing precision and charm. It should be drunk over the next 7-8 years. 91 pts Robert Parker
The 2006 St.-Joseph Les Grisieres will be just as charming as it possesses more layers and concentration, but also more tannin and structure. It will improve with several years in the bottle, and should last a decade. 92 points Robert Parker
91pts Wine Spectator In a brief period of time, Achaval Ferrer has become one of Argentina's benchmark wineries. This entry level Malbec is rich, juicy and delicious with great mineral structure and a long racy finish.
A muscular red, with concentrated flavors of dark cherry, plum, raspberry tart and grilled fig. The dense finish of dark chocolate is firm and focused, with smoky notes. Best from 2010 through 2014. 15,000 cases made. 90pts Wine Spectator!
96 points Robert Parker A small garagiste operation producing between 500-600 cases, Branon is owned by Helene Garcin. The vineyard, which is planted with equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, is beautifully situated near Haut-Bailly and Malartic-Lagraviere. The gorgeous 2005 exhibits a classic Graves nose of graphite, charcoal, chocolate, scorched earth, blackberries, cassis, and hints of creosote and earth. The wine is opulent and full-bodied with a sensational texture as well as sweet tannin. This compelling Pessac-Leognan is more forward than the tannic Medoc cuvees. It will offer good drinking in 5-10 years, and should last for 2-3 decades..

Parker Rating - 94
This is a stunning, opulent wine, with layers of ripe dark fruit that flow from the glass with notable depth and luxuriousness. It remains less well known, so this Barolo will likely fly under the radar. Discerning consumers, though, will want to give it careful consideration. 94 pts. Wine Advocate
Ripe grapefruit, peach, cherry, in the nose lead to a caressingly creamy mouthful of rich, pit fruits, citrus, and florality. It is superbly concentration with a formidably long dry finish. 94pts Robert Parker
This monster Garnacha offers up a huge nose of toasty oak, cassis, and black raspberry. Gobs of black fruits supported by beautifully ripe tannins carry through on the finish. Definitely for fans of BIG wines.
The prodigious, fantastic 2003 Cos d'Estournel is a candidate for wine of the vintage. A blend of 68% Cabernet Sauvignon (unusually high for this chateau), 30% Merlot, and 2% Cabernet Franc, 17,500 cases were produced from low yields. An inky/blue/purple color is accompanied by a compelling perfume of black fruits, subtle smoke, pain grille, incense, and flowers. With extraordinary richness, full body, and remarkable freshness, elegance, and persistence, this is one of the finest wines ever made by this estate. The good news is that it will be drinkable at a young age yet evolve for three decades or more. Kudos to winemaker Jean-Guillaume Prats and owner Michel Reybier. 98 points Robert Parker
